Hearing protection filters
The heart of Hörluchs® hearing protection products
Hörluchs® develops and manufactures the carbon filters at its production headquarters in Hersbruck, Germany. From the idea to the development to the production, everything is Made in Germany. The filter technology developed by Hörluchs® is ideal for sound processing due to the special structure and density of the carbon fibre and impresses with its natural sound while offering full protection.

Filters for perfect hearing
HLF exchangeable filters
Carbon filters
The HLF filter series covers almost all requirements for applications in industrial noise areas. In combination with the respective earmoulds, the filters are approved by the German authorities, insensitive to water and dirt, exchangeable and also ideally suited for impulse noise.

HLM exchangeable filters
The linear innovation
Hörluchs® has developed a filter system which, in combination with the matching earmould, offers the customer a high degree of choice. In combination with the SOWEI UNLIMITED, the HLM exchangeable filters have a type examination certificate. This means that this hearing protection with its filter technology can be used in both the private and the commercial sector.

Special approvals for hearing protection
for special applications
Many Hörluchs® hearing protection products are officially approved in Germany for special applications. You can find the corresponding remarks on the product pages in the section “Filters”. Here you will find a glossary of the corresponding special approvals:
W: Criteria “warning signal hearing in general”, “information-containing sounds” and “speech intelligibility” fulfilled (average slope of the mean values of the octave sound attenuation maximum 3.6 dB/octave)
X: Extremely flat insulating hearing protection. May be suitable for persons with hearing loss. May also be suitable for musicians (average slope of mean values of octave sound attenuation maximum 2 dB/octave).
S: Signal hearing possible at the track superstructure.
V: Signal hearing possible when driving and vehicles in public road traffic.
E: Signal hearing possible for train drivers and locomotive shunting drivers in railway operations. Use only permitted after successfully passing the hearing test in accordance with the technical information of the VBG and UVB “Noise protection measures for locomotive drivers and locomotive shunters” (previously BGI/GUV-I 5147).
E1 = Very suitable, especially suitable for people with hearing loss.
E2 = Well suited.
E3 = Limited suitability.
